“Feeling bored,lonely ?”

Many a times I see girls and boys posting-“Feeling lonely”,”Feeling bored”,”Listening to…(romantic or dirty abusive songs)” etc..

I keep wondering why they say and do that ! It is either that they have nothing productive to do in life or no purpose or they are trying to get the attention of the people and may be more specifically of the opposite sex. And when they get comments, the reactions many a times makes it apparent.

Allahu Akbar ! I am talking about a lot of cases and mostly I know them, not strangers.

Dont you have a purpose,a goal in life ? Dont you have better things to do than show the world how lazy and idle you are ? Dont you have self respect that you fall down so low and act cheap ?

And then some will post weird pictures of themselves ! Allahu Akbar !

Please understand you just have 1 shot at this life, make the most of it or you will regret for eternity ! And there will be no 2nd chances, mind you.

Have a purpose,a goal. Aspire High. Dont settle for little. Aim High. Work hard to achieve your goals.

If you have nothing productive/useful/beneficial to do then just sit or lie down and reflect on your life, nature or make silent prayers to God or do some light excercise or read or surf good things.

If you are genuinely interested in someone then dont be cheap and expose your images and seek attention. Approach with respect, good intentions through elders.

I mean come on,we are human beings, dignified individuals. Be sensible.

And remember, your life is your message to the world so make it inspiring. If you are going to do all the wrong things-drugs,dating,alcohol,porn etc then you are harming yourself, harming others and the society as a whole.

Dont forget what you do affects people around and has an impact-positive or negative, but it will have an impact. You need to act responsible.

Otherwise, you will regret in this world and the Hereafter. Moreover, when you do wrong, you are contributing negatively to the world. And then you complain that the world is bad..dont forget you contributed too. And when you dont try to improve or reform, the future generations face the consequences and they will blame you the way you blame your elders.

Problems will keep increasing and no solution at all.
Please,please wake up.

You know you are not that bad. You might discover a lot of good in yourself if you try hard to resist and stay away from the environment that induces bad. And by praying to God regularly and acting how the conscience dictates.

Change your company, the means of entertainment, the leisure activities. Will help a lot,in sha Allah.

May Allah Help you. Ameen.

Lead by example

Talking about education of any community …the desire to reform and bring change has to start with an individual or a group of people, who are determined, focused.

Those willing to take initiatives to educate the poor and less fortunate people of the same or different community or to spread awareness and encourage those who can afford good education.

I do not know if you are aware of this, but there are many students, women and old people who teach people in their area. It has to start somewhere. We cant just be happy with our degrees, our lives and do nothing to achieve the good we desire for the fellow human beings. We cant say “but i am too busy” to do that. If you cant give time, fund it or provide space or promote or spread awareness.

If atleast 1 person in each area thinks this way and wants to work hard and is sincere.. Believe me,change will come. God will Help such people, people will extend support by providing venues or funds or equipment for events.

To bring the change,we have to be the change as individuals,we have to initiate.

Do not just complain if you are doing nothing for your society,if you are not playing a positive role,if you are not being an asset to the society in any way.

May Allah make us people who are assets to the societies and not liabilities. Ameen.

With the Help of Allah, anything is possible.

Deen and Duniya together

*Knowledge alone cant remove problems. Hikmat(wisdom) is required and that comes with Amal(action).Prophet Muhammad pbuh had knowledge and hikmah and that is why with Allah’s Help,he solved the problems that existed in society.

*Cases around me-A boy gains knowledge becomes an engineer, doctor etc and then wants lakhs as dowry and that creates social problems.

A girl gains knowledge and becomes a teacher, doctor, engineer then arrogance creeps in.. Her expectations and demands rise etc. She wants to be rich, wants a big house, car, shopping and if the husband cant afford it creates problems.

*When we have the knowledge of Duniya and correct, authentic knowledge of Deen,it will be a different thing altogether,in sha Allah !

It will help us to lead a productive life. It will give us a focus,a purpose, a mission.

*We need to understand. With only worldly education,we will lose the Akhirah and lead unhappy lives full of problems. With only Deeni education, our survival in the world, among people will become difficult.

The solution is the middle path, get both. No extremism, mind you. The Sahabahs in addition to the Deeni knowledge they would learn and were good at other fields and things. Abu Bakr r.a,Uthman r.a,Aisha r.a,Khadijah r.a come to mind as I have studied about them and I am sure there are others.

May Allah grant us success in both worlds. May Allah grant us a good understanding of His Deen. Ameen

Social event or meeting the opposite sex ?

A very common thing we see these days. We see girls and boys attending and volunteering in programmes, fetes, fests, social events and Ma sha Allah that is good.

But what is disturbing is that there are many who do to flirt, impress opposite gender, meeting, laughing with them..having fun and good time.

When a talk is being delivered they do not focus on points,issues.. They fidget with their hair, hijab etc. All the time they are trying to look good. If they work hard, they want the other to see and to impress. When you give them work due to their consciousness they dont do it well.

The purpose is lost ! What is the use ! These are problems that need attention. They have bothered me ever since class 8.

Youth have lost focus. We express ourselves to impress ! That is the sad reality.

Dear Muslim youth, you need to understand you are not here to just enjoy and have fun and if its haram then no way !

You are in this world for a purpose. If you are going to be so distracted, how on Earth will you make changes and benefit others ? You have to have a good personality, character and manners.

Incase you have bad thoughts, you have to remind yourself that you are a Muslim with a purpose. You have to be careful and sensible.

And when you still have a tough time, think about this-that girl or that boy who you are trying to flirt with or are interested in,if he or she is not destined for you then it is somebody elses husband or wife. Would you like someone doing that to your husband or wife ?
Definitely No !

Please, please think about it. And remember my words before you act or given in to your desires. May Allah protect and guide us all. Ameen

Topics and Ideas for talk on youth issues

*Just like what you post here regarding goals and having mision and vision. Kids need it as they’re not focussed what they want or where they want to land up

*Achcha
Muslim kids are not able to understand or accept tat we can’t allow certain things like revealing clothes late parties etc. And also they are confused regards their sexuality and alienate themselves from social gatherings etc…..Also they lose their confidence coz of all this and give in to peer pressure for many things
How and why to maintain distance from boys or girls is imp.

*Madiha u can discuss morality. A teacher is a teacher of history and science later, she is a teacher of values first. If we are honest, I if we study sincerely, if we humble ourselves to those whom we learn from we are actually practicing religion. It’s not only practiced in mosques and churches. Besides science does not have a conscience but we humans have. Science can produce weapons of mass destruction and science is capable of producing stuffs beneficial for humanity. Hence its imp to become a good human being first and doctors and engineers later. Madiha u can discuss about the purpose of education as well. It should not be to earn more money but rather to become conscious of what is right and wrong.
U can elaborate taking tips from Quran and sunna.U can also discuss expansiveness of hearts.

*One should not be shallow and think about oneself or one’s community rather think about humanity. Your heart should ache for every oppressed human. U should help any troubled person irrespective of his religion, etc etc in whatever capacity u can
Don’t think he is a Muslim or a hindu or Christian but think he’s a human. Isn’t that what Islam is all about Madiha? Didn’t our prophet come for all mankind
U can also discuss balance.

*From parents perspective just talk about how this is an age when kids feel confused – do they need their parents or are they independent? They are grown up at times as well as kids at other times. So instill the idea of talking & being in communication with elders. Whether it is about dilemma in studies, friends, relationships, etc. Just talk to the parents and keep them in the loop. They are the source and will u/s them the best. Give e.g. from your / other’s lives.

*Balancing ones work and play. There are students -excellent in academics but relationship with parents miserable.Very successful on one side but absolutely lost on the other.

*You could also explain about how certain things which are considered cool nowadays actually isnt.Like using crude language, swear words. You could explain to them how these things lead to a person being undignified and not respected…you could teach them to try uplift their conscience n to listen to it..coz actually everyone has a conscience which directs them to good but often we end up supressing what our conscience directs us to do or think.

*I m sharng an incidnt wd u all. I always hv ds cncern that d youth r targt of evry dirty busines n markt. N theres no 1 to listen to them,to addres them. We r blamd by all.So isues r nevr shard.I was surprisd wen a 14 yr old came to me.And told me,pls dnt judge me. Sum cuzin is aftr me,told me he luvs me. I am scard. I dnt knw wat to do,hu to tell.Wat shud i do? I cant tel my parnts? Ppl wl judge me. Pls help. After d session she told me wen evry1 left.In colg too,ppl were frustratd bcoz if they go n share their cncerns wd parnts, restrictns are imposd, they r misundrstd.N who wl listn to them? Advise them? They dnt knw hu to go to.8 yr olds say to mums dat wen i play wd males, kuch hota h mumy.We hv made thngs difcult fr ourselvs.I m getng in2 dis field bcoz i c d need.No1 wants to b der n fill d vacancy.N i dnt want youth to b helples, misguided, uncard for.Bcoz it wl make them unproductiv.N we as an ummah cant afford dat.

What Science taught me

Alhamdulillah for everything.Looking back at my life as a Science student I realized that even though the days were hectic/exhausting..Science taught me a lot !

The two tiring, hard working years in class 11 and 12 with pure science subjects-Physics,Chem,Bio,Maths,Eng,Hindi,Evs taught me about “time management”. I had a tution teacher to guide me in all 4 subjects. Weekdays and weekends-studying all day, doing practicals and files and projects, practising sums or diagrams. In addition,to that I would enjoy writing Eng Lit chapters, poems and Pygmalion answers and Eng Lang essays after reflection and with quotes. Hindi and EVS too. That was a kind of break, refreshment.

I remember,I had to plan out my day so that I would be able to pray, read Quran, family time. No time for volunteering for social causes outside school.

I would enjoy cricket,marching,fetes and fests,Alhamdulillah.

After that came the even more exhausting College years with Botany,9 am to 6 pm. That taught me patience, something I feel I lacked in teenage years.

The patience required to do prism drawing,to draw the plant and its parts just as they were, cutting thin sections, squashing technique for root tips, searching microscopic field for cell stages and drawing, counting oxygen bubbles or titration.

Immense patience required. Hand would pain, eyes would pain, head and back would pain. We would complain initially but then got used to it,Alhamdulillah.

Those 3 years,I didnt require tution so I managed to take out some time for volunteering, most of it in college. I learnt then to make the most of the situation,of the people around. Around 1st year,I came across IOU diploma dawah module course and it was a blessing,Alhamdulillah !

So what if I couldnt do Dawah and interact with youth outside. Allah gave me opportunities to do Dawah to professors, students, maids in between classes, breaks, before or after college, free periods, events, sports day, dawah to random people in the library. Memorable days ! Alhamdulillah.

At home or college while doing practicals or notes,I would hear khutbahs and that was a life changer too along with Burooj,Alhamdulillah. I would hear Sh.Bilal Philips,Sh.Zahir Mahmood,Ustadh Nouman Ali Khan,Sh.Tawfique Chowdhury.. I enjoyed practicals and projects even at home. The music (in earlier years) was replaced by khutbahs and they inspired me..atleast my mind wouldnt wonder or hum songs or become dull.

The hectic schedule didnt matter then. I enjoyed Botany and being a da’ee. Some incidents were strange.(I shall write about them,in sha Allah). I started writing reflective articles on Botany,Science and would share my reflections with professors and friends.

I thank Allah for the blessing of being a science student. What I learnt in those years, help me today when I want to plan or organize an event or manage and plan the day with so much in mind.

I wrote this not to complain (really no reason to complain) but to share what I thought today when I could complete certain things I planned but thought wouldnt complete. Alhamdulillah !

To all the Science students or people who complain about their present situation,be grateful to Allah. With time,in sha Allah, you will realize that everything happens for a reason and its for your own good.

We humans have this tendency of complaining but we forget the bigger picture. Perhaps its a training for something, bigger and better, higher goals and purpose.

May Allah make us grateful and patient slaves of His. Ameen
